Fall Mini Style Guide
These are just suggestions to use as a guideline. Most of all we want you to feel like yourself… and comfortable!
What to wear?
If you’re on the fence about what to wear, have no fear we’re here to help! This by far the best season for comfort, so make sure you take full advantage! Pull out the knits, chunky sweaters, scarves and hats. We love a good layering so play around with texture and don't hesitate to throw a knit pullover over your favorite dress or just wear it over your shoulders. Paired with some pants or a skirt, combine with comfy shoes or boots, style it with a trench or a jacket and you have a solid outfit.
If you are thinking about a hat or a scarf - go for it! These are always fun to play around with and allow movement and variety on a shoot.
As a rule we like to avoid anything with strong graphics and logos so that the focus of the photo is on you. There are always exceptions, but if you’re trying to narrow down your wardrobe stick to neutrals and solids. If you'd like to wear color, think of the earthy variations: olive green, wine red, mustard yellow, etc.
What should my child wear?
Your kids should be cozy yet comfortable and be able to move freely. Knit is always a good idea. If your child is still a baby we suggest brining a cozy blanket to wrap them in.
What should the parents wear?
Above all else, we’re going for comfort and some stylish matching. You don’t need to show up in the exact same outfit, by try to take hints from your partner’s outfit. If you are wearing knit, so should they. Make sure to match color wise and layer wise too. If you are wearing a coat, they should have one too.
We love playing with fabric and texture, so go for layers and we’ll try to keep the heat away!
